Speed Dating

Proponents feel that speed dating saves time, as most people decide if they are romantically compatible very quickly, and first impressions are usually permanent.

How does it work? Men and women are typically rotated to meet each other for only eight minutes each, and are then forced to the next meeting regardless of whether they are enjoying the interaction. At the conclusion of the evening, speed daters then submit a list to the event organizers of those people they would like to meet again. If both parties list each other, there is a match and phone numbers are forwarded.
